If you enjoyed the movies you’ll more than likely also enjoy the game. If you’ve never tried out Star Wars Galaxies you can download a 14-day free trial at the official SWG site. Downloading is simple, all you do is:
- Click the Download button
- Click Save and choose a download location
- Once to file is saved, browse to the folder containing the file and double-click SWGSetup_PROMOID_111.exe. to begin the installation
- Follow the prompts to complete installation
Once everything is downloaded and setup you can seek out SWG guides to help you get started with selecting the character that’s best for you, choosing a profession and factions. Having a good guide and starting out on the right foot can determine whether you’ll like the game and want to continue playing it.
After your 14 days are up you can convert the trial account to a paid SWG subscription. You’ll need a credit card or a paid game card to do so. To buy a subscription, go to the official Star Wars Galaxies site and follow these directions:

- Click on Subscription Info
- Choose a recurring subscription plan

If you’ve ever wanted to have some epic Star Wars battles in outer space, now is your chance. Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is expected to be released in 2011 and could be a nice break from Star Wars Galaxies Online.
If you’ve played SWG than you probably like the Star Wars films, and if you like the classic films you are sure to like SWTOR. Game play consists of:
- Navigating stars to visit new planet
- Taking on critical missions out in space where you’ll maneuver through chaotic and dangerous asteroid fields
- Destroying enemy fighters
- Engaging in large, epic fleet battles similar to those from the Star Wars films
You’ll be flying through different settings in all corners of the galaxy and partaking in a large variety of SWTOR missions. From escaping the galaxies most treacherous asteroid belt to joining large showdowns over a besieged ice world, you’re sure to never have a dull moment.
As you await the release of this new Star Wars MMO, you can also bring some excitement back into the older Star Wars Galaxies game. SWG hacks will let you go above and beyond your imagination to help you do things you never esteemed possible.

A Star Wars Galaxies quest or mission is a task that is given to you by an NPC (non player character). When you’ve completed the quest successfully you’ll be given rewards such XP, credits, or items. Some quests may require you to belong to the Rebel or Empire Alliance. With others, you may even have to be a Combatant.
Before you start a quest, I recommend that you make use of a SWG walkthrough. Not all quests have been updated since the NGE (New Game Enhancement) and some only give few if any rewards so it is important to know which will benefit you the most.
SWG quests are typically divided into certain group:
Minor Quests
These are old SWG quests that are assigned by NPCs throughout the game. They give few rewards but are recommended to all players since they play an important part in the story line and you can also get transfer items by completing the quests.
SWG Quests by Combat Level
These quests require a specific combat level
Star Wars Galaxies Legacy Quest
This is a long series of quests that is designed to take a beginner character from level 1-55 and beyond.
Quest by Planet
Quests are listed by the planet but may lead you to other players
User-created Quests
What you may not be aware of is that there are also more the 3 million user-created quests that have been made using the Chronicle Master system. There is one player who alone has created over 6,000 SWG quests!
The number of quests available in the game can be a bit overwhelming but just remember, there are plenty Star Wars Galaxies strategies available to make sure that you’re never without help.
